Palestine

The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation opened a field office in Jerusalem in 2001. We cooperate with both Palestinian and Israeli women’s organisations.

In Palestine, we support organisations that work to empower women by offering them education, access to legal aid and psychosocial support in matters concerning family law. Our efforts are also focused on women’s political organisation. We support the women’s movement in its work to reduce the negative effects of the occupation, through activities at local women’s centres and by providing psychosocial support.

To promote the sustainability of the women’s movement in Palestine, we work with the security and wellbeing of women’s rights activists. We also facilitate networking between young activists and established women’s organisations, to prepare for generational change and ensure the continuity of the women’s movement.
